i shot this durning the full moon, with poor seeing. After processing I noticed I was off on my focus, great time to discover it! But it didn’t turn out too bad.

400 each of Ha/SII/OIII of 40 seconds on 11” RASA with ASI1600, Baader F2 filters.

No it looks good.  Try bumping the brightness I think the contrast is probably fine, and see what that gives you.

    Nicely done.

Thanks Sean, the fires/smoke and the full moon wasn’t a lot of help. Seeing here has been bad for the last week/weak and a half. I’m in the process of shooting the Cave Nebula. So fingers crossed that I can get it done by end of next week.

I like the one with the OIII prominent a little better.  The new one is probably more what it really looks like though.

Do me a favor and take the first one and bump the contrast up a little and see what it looks like.

Yes the first one was a bit messed up from removing the stars before processing. I didn’t do a good job with it. I just installed starnet and tried it on one image. It worked really well.

Red Channel looks out of focus.  The corners look decent.  The other Channels look decent except in the corners.   1st  2 are the Red Channel. RedLeftCornerX4redX35_clone

Here is the Blue Channel below.   I’m probably at 60MM between sensor and flattener waiting on more adapter stuff.

Are the closeup shots with the elongated stars from the corners of the shot?

    If not then,

All those stars going in the same direction and looking elongated is probably a guiding issue.

    I love the image though.
