Shot with 11” RASA and ASI1600M, Badder f/2 Ha and OIII. 550 each of 40 seconds. Gain 250/offset 50.

    I don’t have much of an imagination, cause I don’t see a cave 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Next up, NGC 7822.

That’s hilarious.  I love it.  I don’t see a cave either.  I shot that when I first started learning and probably need to do it a again.  I do remember that it was a difficult target.

What skies are you shooting in with that 1600?

I used to have an 11 inch STC fro Celestron and used Hyperstar.  Wish I had held on to it.  I’ve been contemplating a RASA but I think right now I’m going to continue to work on my travel rig for New Zealand.  I’m thinking of getting a RedCat in lieu of using my Zenith Star 61 or GT 71.  Simply because it’s so small and the reviews are great.

Keep em coming Brian.  Great work

Hey Sean, when’s your trip, so jealous!

That RedCat really looks interesting, I ended up getting the WO Star71 instead. Haven’t gotten to use it tho.

I’m in the San Fernando Valley (Los Angeles). It’s a Bortle Class 8, SQM 18.5. So I generally have to take shorter exposures, and lots of them.

It’s not until Aug 17th.  plenty of time.

I’m actually rethinking the RedCat.  I have the zenith star 61 and it is a great scope as well.  I’m gonna go shoot Andromeda in a few and see how it does.
