46832B0F-D44B-409E-A360-E50649C2CF98I had lots of problems with blotchy background, I’m not sure if it was shooting OIII in some light clouds. This is from 11” RASA, ASI1600, Baader f/2 Ha and OIII. I wanted to get SII, but I’m on week 3 and another week of heavy clouds. I may try to add the SII later.

Wow Brian that is really beautiful.

Maybe its my Mac but bump the contrast a tiny bit and make it pop out more.

This is really a pretty image.  Well done.

That’s a perfect shot.  Everyone should click on it and look at it full size.

Thanks Sean, I’ve always had issues with being too dark,. I think it may be that I work on them at night in a fairly dark room.

Got my travel rig finished.  I got a Williams Optics Zenith Star 73 with Willams Guide Scope and will use my Nikon D750 with STC Duo Narrowband Clip Filter

I also purchased the Williams Optics Redcat Scope.

I am using the sky guider pro with my polemaster attached.  However, it’s hard for me to squabble around on the ground working to find a target so I also picked up the Ioptron CEM25P.

That thing is a lot heavier than advertised so I’m trying to figure out something for the SGP.  I bought a green laser from a guy in the hopes that I could attach it to it in order to aid me in getting it pointed at the area of the sky.

I bought a hotshot holder for the laser pen. I bought it from Cloudy Nights, Dr Benway sells them. 3-D Printed.

Thanks William. I was working on another image that I shot at the same time and finally figured out that something was wrong with my bias/darks. I reshot them, so I may give another go at this.

I look forward to developing an eye for diagnosing or seeing issues with my images.  Because to me,  the image is spot on!
