I had no idea that you could get that much planet. I really need to try this some time. I wonder if there is a program that will allow my QSI cameras to shoot video? Great Shot August 19, 2018 at 9:49 am #1943 MikeMModerator @mikem Very nice. I always wondered if the RC scopes were any good for imaging planets. You seem to have answered that question. August 20, 2018 at 12:03 am #1945 Brian @europa Thanks Sean and Mike. yes the RC did pretty good, considering I’m in a bortle class 8. I had a Meade ETX setup, but after 4 nights of crappy skies, I took it down…of course the sky cleared a bit, so tried Mars with the RC. August 20, 2018 at 10:53 pm #1946 Brian @europa Time to move on, compiled pix of the planets I’ve gotten. Will have to come back and try again, now I’m bored with planets.</span> This reply was modified 1 year ago by Brian. August 20, 2018 at 10:56 pm #1948 Brian @europa Thanks Joe, sorry I just saw your post. August 21, 2018 at 12:37 am #1949 SeanAdmin/Moderator @h2opolo You did all these with an RC? I have really got to rethink my position on planets. I know my old ATIK and ZWO cameras could shoot video but I am not sure if my QSI 690 or 683 can. Is it a function of the camera or software? August 21, 2018 at 1:09 am #1952 Brian @europa Yes all from the RC, as far as I know it’s a function of the camera. August 21, 2018 at 7:31 am #1955 MikeMModerator @mikem It’s a function of the camera. August 21, 2018 at 2:50 pm #1957 SeanAdmin/Moderator @h2opolo I had a feeling of that. Oh well we will let Brian provide us with these great shot’s Author Posts Viewing 11 posts - 1 through 11 (of 11 total) You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
