like the Wizard, I shot this durning the full moon with poor seeing. This is Ha and OIII only. Shot with 11” RASA and ASI1600, Baader F2 filters.

I got my RASA back from Celestron, they collimated it, but when I set up, I forgot to do a PA. I didn’t notice how bad the guiding stats were for a couple nights and didn’t want to mess with it in the middle of shooting, so I let PHD do it’s best.

this is 250×40 sec of each filter. Tried a starless, messed up a little, but still kinda cool.

Dude that is really cool.  I love it.  Very spooky.  Pretty too.  Thanks for posting.  I’m at a loss as to how to get people to come post pictures.  I’ve spent tons of money and time to provide this site and for some reason cannot get any traffic.

I think I’m gonna have to do some videos in order to get people here.  It’s such a bummer.  I love it when everyone is sharing and talking back and forth.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.  I’d have a photo contest but without images its kind of pointless.  Lol

The image you have here is really great.  I love it!

    Hey Sean,

Thanks, I’m soooo coming around to starless, I use to hate them. I usually try them with and without. Most of my friends always like them with the stars. I guess it looks more like a picture from space if it has stars.

i know we have had a bad year on the left coast and it seems it’s not been very good anywhere. Hopefully the skies will clear up a bit. I’m hearing the US will be in for a wet winter, so that didn’t sound good.

Hopefully, some more ppl will get out a little more and start posting, just need a little activity to spark their interest again.

I did pick up the Starguider Pro and a William Optics Star 71 (the 4 element version, they may even call it a 5) and a mod’ed DSLR in hopes of having a quick setup that I could get out to some better skies. Haven’t gotten around to it tho. I think mostly because I was a bit discouraged in the amount of walking noise it had and I was hoping to be a minimalist and not have to guide. But looks like I will need a laptop and dither, so it made me a little lazy.

Anyways, I don’t think it’s just your forum that is slow, most I go to are slow as well. When I started on here, you seemed to have a good group of guys, so hopefully it’ll turn around.
