I am going to get another mount to use the TSA120 in the field. Atlas mount is a bit heavy to move around. I put my 16″DOB for sale to help fund a new one. I am either getting a CEM60 EC, or a CEM120 EC or no EC. Have not decided yet.
I am running 47# on the CEM60 now and it seems to be doing well with the TOA150. I am going to test it a little more before deciding if I need the CEM120.
That’s a lot of weight. My Losmandy holds 60 pounds and seems fine with the 130. When I take that scope off in the morning I’m amazed how well it guides with that much weight. It’s heavy, I’m not kidding
Before I got the CEM60 I almost chose the Losmandy. From reading more than one should on a topic I chose the CEM60. It is rated for 60 lbs also. With the TSA120 it is awesome. About the same as your 130. The TOA150 is another beast in itself. It is doing great on the CEM60 but would do better on the CEM120. The CEM120 will hold the TOA150 and the TSA120 side by side with no problems. I will probably never do that but it is a definite upgrade over the CEM60 and Losmandy.
With the CEM60 I saw my first total RMS below .5. I expect the same with the CEM120 and would recommend the Ioptron CEM series to anyone. For the money , accuracy, and weight capabilities I see nothing better.
Of course this is only my opinion, but I value my opinion very highly :).
