I got it up and hope to try it out tonight. Took a bit of doing but got it all running through SGPRO, I hope. The polemaster mounts inside the mount which is pretty cool.December 10, 2018 at 9:51 pm #2326
Nice setup, congrats.December 11, 2018 at 8:22 pm #2327
Thanks Brian. I got .24 total rms and had very slight oval stars at 600s and not too bad at 1800s. I am going to try first drift align tomorrow if it is clear as forecasted. Or I may just shoot a target at 600s and see what I get.
I should just do the drift align as I have never done one but I need to research a bit to see how long it really takes to do it right and if too long I will wait till weekend when I do not have to be at work at 430am.December 13, 2018 at 8:37 am #2329
Very nice looking mount, it’s bigger than I thought. Once you’re done with a drift I’m looking forward to results and thoughts.December 14, 2018 at 6:57 pm #2330
Running into kinks here and there. Laptop ssd drive filled and froze things a bit. Corrupted some ascom files but got it up and running again. Having trouble with auto focus and maybe figured it out. Clutch may have been loosened. Wont know yet as cloudy tonight. Last night was around .3 total rms and 1.09 arc seconds. After I get the kinks worked out it is time to start on the guiding with the mount but quite happy so far.
Kind of makes the TOA150look a little smaller 🙂December 17, 2018 at 6:34 pm #2331

I did notice that.January 4, 2019 at 10:55 am #2333
That’s really a hell of a setup. It looks really rigid. Sorry I’ve been away the holidays were rough and I’ve been out at the camp trying to do repairs for its sale.January 4, 2019 at 11:37 am #2336
Well it was but now it is gone. Just the mount is gone. I have a new CEM60EC being delivered. It wlll go in the observatory with the TAK and the other regular CEM60 is on the outside pier right now with the ES127CF FCD100. I just got it back Friday. ES said it was way out of collimation when they put it on the bench. Now it is working awesome. I got set up on the Monkey Head last night and got it ready to hopefully get some subs tonight.
I am downloading Voyager to try it out in the observatory. The auto focus is supposed to be the best out there right now. I have been having a little trouble with SGPRO auto focus lately.
The new puppy has sat out with me one night so far. Going to be another awesome buddy to hang with.
Ill post new mount pics and puppy pics on another thread later.

Unfortunate that the last mount didn’t work out. but congrats on the new observing buddy!January 29, 2019 at 10:52 am #2789
My mount is suddenly freaking out. It wont center on a target outside of 20 degrees of the meridian unless it runs backwards to get to it. Makes no sense. I didn’t change anything, in fact I was imaging at the time and parked it to re balance the DEC and when I went to recenter on the target it had moved withing 12 degrees of the meridian and the stupid mount slewed backwards to get to it.
It’s almost as if there is some weird setting that enables you to slew backwards to meridian close targets in order to skip the flip. But that scenario does not work when my target was near the zenith and it crashed my camera into my tripod.
Losmandy is working on it I’m at a loss…
