    Hello everyone, here’s my first attempt at M31 with only 20 mins of data before clouds rolled in. Let me know what you think.  M31-Final

    Looks Great.  Pull down the contrast a little and fool everyone!

    Looks great to me.  I bet you could pull a luminance out of it and get rid of some of the color noise in the background.

    I didn’t even think about that.  that’s a good idea.

    Julio pull a LUM and then put it back in under LRGB Combination and turn off RGB but check off Chromatic Error and drag it over.

    Thanks for the tips everyone..  Will try and get a useful set of data images once M31 is higher in the sky and i have clear skies. 🙂

    Check off Chromatic or ON?  It’s off by default.. Thx

    Yeah that’s much better.  Just keep gathering data on it.

    Go watch Chris Gomez’s video on processing M81.  I used it to work on my Andromeda I attempted a long time ago and it helped me a lot.  I’ll did out my sad attempt and post it
